True Texas Crime: The Significant Life of Angela Stevens

Actress Julie Dove shares how her small hometown of Princeton, Texas, changed forever on July 7, 1988, when 16-year-old Angela Stevens was savagely beaten, murdered, and left in an empty field by three local young men. Whispers around town were more about how those boys ruined their lives in one night than about a young girl’s life lost.

But what about Angela’s life, who is to blame; her murderers, the town that quickly and quietly moved on, or a justice system that washes away victims, and has anything really changed?

Angela’s family and friends will share her story for the first time and how they survived, but never recovered.

Julie Dove is an actor and storyteller. She was born and raised in Princeton, Texas. She has worked as a school teacher, youth minister, and spent a decade in the music industry. In December 2001, Julie moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting and filmmaking.
She currently recurs as Connie Viniski on Peacock's Days of our Lives and voices Jessica from Accounting on Adult Swim’s Birdgirl. Julie has guest starred on Angie Tribeca, Insatiable, The Office, Happy Endings, and more.
She is a graduate of The Second City Los Angeles Writing and Acting Conservatories, holds an AA cum laude in Cinema Production from Los Angeles City College, and an MA in Theatre from Texas A&M - Commerce. Julie also has a Texas Teaching Certificate in Theatre, Speech, and English.
Julie lives in North Hollywood with her rescue dog Poppy. She owns an editing business for actors and volunteers with the homeless community in her spare time.
